Some new Hapsburg recipes to try out this weekend

June 3rd, 2011

There are lots of delicious ways to use Hapsburg Absinthe for both cooking and cocktails. Here are a couple more cocktails people have told us about that you can try this weekend:

The Trotsky Tango
This is a sharp one!

1. Full shot of Hapsburg Absinthe
2. 2 shots of Apple schnapps (or your favourite green apple liqueur)
3. The juice of a freshly squeezed lime

Place in a blender and add lots of ice, and then make up to the brim with the ginger beer of your choice (we recommend ‘Old Jamaican).

Blend and serve in long and short glasses for a ‘his and her’ serve.

The Fruit Foxtrot
This is a sweet one!

1. Full shot of Hapsburg Traditional 72.5% Absinthe or, to add that certain something, use Red Cocktail or Black Amere Hapsburg.
2. 4 parts pure, freshly squeezed, orange juice.
3. 8 parts cranberry juice.
4. The juice of a fresh lemon to taste.

Place in a blender with loads of ice and let her rip! Serve and garnish to be long and refreshing!

Do post your pictures of your cocktails to us on Facebook and Twitter – we’d love to see them! The more original the better.

Enjoy!
