ABSINTHE COCKTAILS

By itself or mixed, our absinthe cocktails are sure to get the party going. A unique flavour and colour that really stands on the deck, on the dance floor or just holding at the bar. Absinthe can be used for a variety of great cocktail recipes, please take a look at some of our expertly crafted absinthe cocktails.

Three layers to the wind

  • Ingredients
  • 15 ml Mexican coffee liqueur
  • 15 ml Irish cream liqueur
  • 15 ml Hapsburg Absinthe Quartier Latin red summer fruits 53.5%
  • Mix
  • Carefully layer the ingredients in the above order into a 50 ml chilled shot glass

The Hapsburg Black Jack

  • Ingredients
  • 10 ml Hapsburg Absinthe Classic
  • 45 ml Jack Daniels Honey
  • 15 ml Apple Syrup
  • 10 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 slice of Ginger
  • Mix
  • Muddle all ingredients and shake
  • Pour into a Julep tin
  • Garnish with honey comb & candied ginger or a sprig of mint
  • Add 2 bamboo straws

Hapsburg Limonada

  • Ingredients
  • 35 ml Hapsburg Absinthe Classic
  • 150 ml home-crushed Lemonade
  • Mix
  • Fill a hi-ball glass with ice and pour
  • Add mint sprig garnish
  • Could also be made for a jug/pitcher

El Hada Rojo

  • Ingredients
  • 25 ml Hapsburg Black Fruits of the Forest
  • 40 ml Absolut Vodka
  • 30 ml freshly sqeezed lemon juice
  • 30 ml St Germain Elderflower
  • 20 ml Cloudy Apple Juice
  • 2 dash Angostura Bitters
  • Mix
  • Shake all ingredients with ice
  • Strain into ice-filled glass
  • Fill in chilled Rocks glass
  • Garnish with a Lime Wheel
  • Add a sprig of fresh mint

Hapsburg Sazerac

  • Ingredients
  • 25 ml Hapsburg Original X.C
  • 40 ml Rye Whisky
  • 4 dashes Peychaud Bitters
  • 30 ml water mixed with sugar
  • Mix
  • Rinse a Chilled Rocks glass with Absinthe
  • Discard the Absinthe after the rinse
  • Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into glass
  • Garnish with lemon

Mixed Berry Collins

  • Ingredients
  • 20 ml Hapsburg Absinthe Red Summer Fruits
  • 20 ml fresh lime juice
  • Muddled mixed berries
  • 50 ml soda water
  • 10 ml gomme
  • Mix
  • Mix all berries and gomme in a cocktail shaker
  • Fill with cubed ice
  • Add fresh lime and Hapsburg Absinthe
  • Double strain into a wine glass filled with ice
  • Garnish with half a strawberry and a blackberry

Green Goddess

  • Ingredients
  • 10 ml Hapsburg 72.5% Absinthe
  • 30 ml Hapsburg Apple Liqueur
  • 20 ml fresh lime juice
  • 160 ml sparkling grapefruit juice
  • Mix
  • Add Hapsburg and fresh lime juice to a tall glass
  • Fill with ice cubes
  • Top with cubed ice
  • Garnish with an apple fan

Double Apple Absinthe

  • Ingredients
  • 40 ml Hapsburg Apple Liqueur
  • 160 ml Apple juice
  • Mix
  • Add Hapsburg over cubed ice
  • Top with apple juice and stir
  • Garnish with a slice of apple and a straw

Liquorice Espresso

  • Ingredients
  • 40 ml Hapsburg Liquorice Liqueur
  • 80 ml Espresso coffee
  • 10 ml gomme
  • Mix
  • Add all ingredients into shaker
  • Add ice and shake hard
  • Double strain into a chilled Martini glass

Old Skool Hapsburg Shake

  • Ingredients
  • 40 ml Hapsburg Liquorice Liqueur
  • 1 sachet chocolate brownie powder
  • 120 ml milk
  • Mix
  • Dissolve powder into the milk
  • Add Hapsburg Liqueur into a cocktail shaker
  • Add chocolate milk and shake
  • Double strain into a milk bottle
  • Add cubed ice
  • Garnish with red and white striped straw

Balsamic Black

  • Ingredients
  • 40 ml Hapsburg Blackberry Liqueur
  • 100 ml lemonade
  • 20 ml Balsamic Vinegar
  • Mix
  • Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker
  • Fill with cubed ice and shake
  • Strain into hi-ball glass filled with ice
  • Garish with a skewered raspberry and blackberry

Hapsillini

  • Ingredients
  • 30 ml Hapsburg Peach Liqueur
  • 120 ml Prosecco or Champagne
  • Mix
  • Add Hapsburg to a Champagne flute
  • Top with quality Prosecco or Champagne
  • Gently mix

Peach Sours

  • Ingredients
  • 50 ml Hapsburg Peach Liqueur
  • 30 ml fresh lemon Juice
  • 1 dash bitters
  • 10 ml gomme
  • optional egg white
  • Mix
  • Rocks glass
  • All ingredients to a cocktail shaker with cubed ice
  • Double stain into glass and garnish with a peach slice

The Fairy’s Mule

  • Ingredients
  • 25ml Hapsburg Blue Cassis X.C
  • 60 ml London Gin
  • 40ml Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 20 ml sugar water
  • 2 dash Angostura Bitters
  • 4 sprigs of fresh mint
  • Mix
  • Prepare Hi-ball Glass
  • Shake all ingredients with ice strain into ice-filled glass.
  • Strain into ice-filled glass
  • Top up with Ginger Beer
  • Garnish with berries

Absinthe Colada

  • Ingredients
  • 25 ml Hapsburg Classic
  • 40 ml Bacardi 8 year old aged rum
  • 60 ml Fresh pressed pineapple juice
  • 20ml Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 20 ml 2:1 (sugar/water)
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • Mix
  • Prepare a chilled hi ball glass
  • Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass.
  • Garnish with a pineapple slice

Fairy cup

  • Ingredients
  • 40ml Gin
  • 10ml Hapsburg Red Summer Fruits
  • 10ml Syrup de Gomme
  • 20 ml Lemon Juice
  • Cocktail Cherry Garnish
  • Mix
  • Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass, then garnish
