Absinthe from Hapsburg
Hapsburg absinthe provides drinks for the discerning drinker and their range of absinthes consists of a range of drinks of the highest possible quality, a wonderfully individual range of drink that can be consumed as part of a cocktail, as a mixer or straight.
Absinthe, the sophisticated drink for the (slightly naughty) sophisticated drinker
The Hapsburg selection of absinthes includes an absinthe produced specifically for cocktails and their new Black Amere absinthe that strives to achieve the renowned absinthe effect with a maximum legal level of up to 35ppm of Thujone (the component that gives the full absinthe effect), as well as their superb traditional absinthes.
Absinthe, risky? Maybe a little but devilishly tasty!
Hapsburg hopes to reinstate absinthe to its position as a drink of connoisseurs, a drink that combines a sense of tradition but still fits with and in fact excels the contemporary selection of alcohols.
Absinthe is an aromatic, dry and (famously) highly alcoholic herbal spirit. It has an instantly recognisable and delicious taste of liquorice provided by anis and also contains the notorious ingredient wormwood. Other ingredients that provide the delectable taste include peppermint, cloves and cinnamon.
However, Hapsburg absinthe is more than just a spirit, it is a spirit whose reputation precedes it, a spirit surrounded by myth. Unlike other drinks absinthe is linked to such famous names Toulouse-Lautrec, Hemmingway and Oscar Wilde but whilst it evokes a sense of the past the emerald spirit is also a pleasure well-suited to the present day and is as individual as you.
